Will it be also possible to have several local collection ?

Great stuff! Amarok is becoming awesome!

I only think that volume control is something very often needed, so it should be explicit ...

Several local collections is planned, but I'm not working on that. Something cool that'll be here semi-soon with hope, is an "All" collection that squashes all Collections to one, for finding tracks when you have multiple collections.

RE multiple local collections: consider going the winamp route. Instead of having directories selections per collection, you stick with the "one big collection" approach but then allow querying. At that point you can have collections based on ratings, akonadi metadata, filetype, etc. Very powerful. Personally, I use it in winamp to sort my lossless CD rips from downloaded mp3s into different collections without having to actually separate them into different directory trees. Would love to see this Amarok. It's Winamp's killer feature if you ask me. Who *is* working on this, so I can suggest it to them? Cheers.

There's already a wishlist bugreport at bugs.kde.org regarding multiple local collections support.

It includes some suggestions why this is needed and how it could be implemented.

Take a look at this and please vote for it using bugzilla's voting functionality: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197573

I would like to see the possibility to add nice frequency analyzer into the context view, for my eyes pleasure.
